I learned last year, that when hot meets cold ex: You hold ice, the heat goes to the colder object. Wait, doesn't that mean cold practically doesn't exist. Only very very very very not hot.....hmm......

Well yeah, there's no such thing as cold, just absence of heat. However, cold is also an adjective to describe what that is like, just like hot describes the presence of heat.

The idea of "cold" doesn't really exist unless you had something that was hot to compare it with, so the object that is less hot is "colder" in comparison. In reality, though, I suppose there is no such thing as cold and objects just contain varying degrees of heat. ^^
