Some of the forums are archived - these forums are: Inspiration and More (has been divided into Collaborations, Requests, Project Ideas, and Miscellaneous), Text-based Games (has been moved to http://scratch.mit.edu/tbgforums, Scratch Day 2009, Scratch @ MIT Conference 2008 (both no longer relevant) and Educators (moved to scratched.media.mit.edu.

Also, you can't post new threads in FAQ or Announcements - the Scratch Team chooses what goes in those forums  smile

If it is a specific topic, check that it doesn't say "Topic closed" where "post reply" is on an open topic. Another way to tell if a topic is closed is if the title is grey from the forum, instead of blue  smile

Try something like this:

[forever]
[][turn (10) degrees]
[][move (5) steps]
[end forever]

that only makes him spin in a circle, i need him to move in like a sinusoidal or parabolic motion.

This project includes a sprite moving in a sine wave. Maybe you can download the project and analyze the scripts, it might have what you are looking for.  smile

If you would like to delete a scratch project from your computer then you can easily right click on the project and either delete the file or put it into the recycling bin and empty out the bin.

If you want to delete a project from the scratch website, just check the project you would like to delete and click the "Delete Selected Projects" button.

Have fun, and scratch on!  smile

Hi! I'm Yiouli.
I posted a project yesterday, named gem-game. I can find it and play at "my stuff", but how can I or anyone else find it from the first page of the site?

There are many ways to get your projects on the front page. One way to do that is to get into one of the catagories listed (such as Top Viewed, Remixed, and Loved). If you were refering to the 'Recent Projects' section, then unfortunantly it is actually very hard to get there since so many people post project so quickly.

You should try advirtising you projects under 'Show and tell' in the forums if you would like nice comments and some views.

Feel free to ask a question on the forums as you need.  smile

This thread --> http://scratch.mit.edu/forums/viewtopic.php?id=43424 has a bunch of articles designed to help people get views and make their projects better. I suggest you read it.

Are you talking about topics? Click the Post New Topic button in the upper-right corner when you're viewing a forum (ie. New Scratch Members).

Are you downloading from the right webpage? Here's the official download page for Scratch.

Re: ITopic: Need help?

Every time I try to edit a costume all the words start going away including everything I typed. It is only happening on my project not anybody elses who does it at home. File, edit, help, share, the costume names, also everything I typed. Everything goes blank including the numbers. when the words and numbers start to go blank All my programing blocks looks like this... <change x by[blank] the numbers I typed went away.

Can someone tell me why this might be happening?

Try reading this first as a way to figure out how to get started.  wink If you need any more programming help, just ask in the All About Scratch forums.  smile
