Well, you shouldn't be. Disney bought the rights to it from Japan and decided to release it here in America. Since they're all fairly child-friendly, it was a good choice.

But they didn't participate in their creation in any way though, did they?

You don't know that exactly. It could be very well possible that they did. Of course, with the exception of dubbing and such.

Oh well, I never considered that they could have. ^^

At least, I don't think Wikipedia says anything about it.

Also, I'm not actually clarifying that Disney is better than anime or anime is better than Disney. I'm simply just saying that both of them are incomparable, so the debate is pretty much obsolete.

And i'm pretty sure anime/manga is a style. Yes, the big eyes, and over-expressed emotions. But that would mean cartoons are a genre. Are  Mickey Mouse and the Fairly Oddparents the same? Does a person who likes one must like the other? Nobody can really go and correctly say anime is bad. Its only a style, with every genre that a normal movie/cartoon can have. Ok, so you can say its bad, as an opinion, if your talking about the style. But you can't say every anime is the same, like a genre. For example, Horror movies are scary. Are all animes scary? Are they all funny? Are they all action-packed? They're not. Two anime series/movies can be different, and appeal to different audiences.

I don't hate anime or Disney. Both are good. Although I do favor Disney, the point of this thread is to discuss how ridiculous the debate is and if anyone agrees. Both are ridiculous because neither is the better one and that people are being stupid by arguing about it. I just stated my opinion along with it. Sorry if it was a bit confusing.
