This isn't the place to ask it.

Re: Soup and 08jackt Collab

All right, so I picture a "battlefield" where the action takes place. You attack the other cards there and etc.
On the bottom of your screen is your stock (this will be some type of magic or money) that you use to buy the ability to give cards special powers or play a new card.
Unlike Magic, I think the stock collection should be based on Elements where you don't tap the cards every turn, but they sit out to the side and and every turn automatically generate manas into your stock. The generated mana is used as currency for buying creatures and using special attacks.

I also like some ideas of Elements like shields and weapons, but like stuff from Magic like instants and artifacts.

So that's my basic idea.

k sounds good.

so we could make a little world with a few different areas and we can make it you get quests from specific ncps. then during the quests you get into battles and stuff, and between quests you can visit shops to sell/buy cards.

any ideas for the background story? i think we should do something really epic. like there's some massive battle going on and the player is destined to stop it...or something like that.

Re: Soup and 08jackt Collab

Why is everybody talking about radar adventure? This is a collab forum for an RPG (?). Ask Jack on one of his projects/his website (syninc.tk).

Yeah.

STORY BRAINSTORM TIME

Card games are hardly ever sci-fi! How about sci-fi?

"For years the human race has been expanding farther and farther into the vast outer space, but when they go too far, a territorial war threatens both races involved and you must put am end to it!" [/cheesy]

Cheesy, but it's an example. And you could have ships and add-ons to the ships as cards. E.G. You have a "Mothership" that you can add "Laser Cannons" onto for extra attack amount.

Re: Soup and 08jackt Collab

I was thinking we should work on the battle system before we do everything else.
v0.1

i explained some things in comments in the project scripts, like what lists there are, ect.

Left to do:
-Bigger Decks
-Power Cards (little ability thingies, like maybe a card that increases all cards attacks)
-Fix all the bugs
-Allow up to 6 cards placed at once
-Proper Cards
-Graphics
-some other stuff

Re: Soup and 08jackt Collab

Refined List (Notes and elaboration):
-Bigger Decks (Randomly draw from the deck to make the "hand" of cards you see)
-Power Cards  (Maybe like ONE of these in a starter deck. Others are buy or trade)
-Fix all the bugs
-Allow up to 6 cards to be placed at once (How was this cap amount decided on?)
-Proper Cards (Can you do okay art for them? I'm fine with naming and such but . . .)
-Graphics (Obviously. We should go with a mech type theme for the playfield graphics assuming we use the sci-fi theme)
-some other stuff (I'll leave you to do that since I don't KNOW what it is)

But your system doesn't use the mana thing is the problem! That system would be a bit more strategy based than "you attack oh look it got revenge, you attack oh look revenge".
So maybe I can figure a mana style system for the next update?
