Okay. My life is a jumble of...of...oh idk. Here's what is going on in my mind...agh I need to vent help me clear my mind out here!!!!!
(Note: this post is really long, so if you don't care about my venting, skip right down until you see a bit of red text.)
I live in California at the moment. My friends and I won the State competition, so we ended up going to the international conference in Wisconsin, of all places. There were people from a ton of different countries there, like Singapore, Korea, and Great Britain. On one of the days there was a memento exchange (where you exchange souvenirs from your country/state) and I traded chocolate (wow I almost spelled it wrong) with this Australian guy. Then I looked up and I realized that he was totally super cute and and had that awesome accent and was nice (like all australians are) and he was the same age. (FREAK OUT!!!!!)
Me: (looking down) Hi, I'm from California. Where are you from?
Him: Hi, I'm from Australia.
Me: Hmm...(looking down at stuff) Hey, what's this? (points toward Caramello Koala)
Him: It's a traditional, uh, candy in the shape of a koala. We eat it there, back home.
Me: (looks up, is kinda surprised) (Smiles) So, um, how about my chocolate (whoops, there I go again) for your chocolate? (Smile
)
Him: Um, sure.
Me: THANKS!!! (Laughs, blushes, walks away, glancing back.) Num! chocolate. ^-^
I would have said omg he was cute, who is he? but I was going around w/one of my friends (who is a guy, but we are NOT involved romantically in any way) sfo I had to keep quiet.
Another funny thing is, there was this guy going around promoting SciGirls (some new show on Cartoon Network) and handing out rulers and bookmarks and stuff. And he gave a ruler to my guy friend, when he was standing RIGHT next to me. And I'm obviously a GIRL!
Me: Hm, I wonder where the Singaporeans are, I haven't seen them at all at this exchange...
Random guy: Here's a ruler. Remember to watch SciGirls, on Cartoon Network!
Friend: But...but..I'm a boy!
Guy: It's okay. Keep it. (Walks away)
Friend: Here. You can have it. (stuffs ruler in my bag)
whut.
And now, because of the guy I met, who I may never see again, I am super obsessed with Australia and I totally want to marry an Aussie when I'm old enough and I am EXTREMELY obsessed with koalas (I FREAKING LOVE KOALAS, I ADOPTED ONE!) I totally want to go to Australia and I am so close to getting enough money to go. I also have two possible destinations.
So that's three problems, and a comment. Sorry, I know that sounded ridiculous (I am ridiculous!) but I really needed to get that all out of me.
1) How do I deal with my international crush?
2) How do I raise enough money to go?
3) Where should I go: Brisbane, in Queensland, or Sydney, in New South Wales? I really want to hold a koala but I know that that is illegal in New South Wales.
4) Where can I go (that is not too expensive) to see (and preferably hold) koalas?
And the comment:
If you want to know more about koalas, just ask me.

What's the competition?
P.S. Wisconsin is the most awesome unknown state there is! One time, at a national chess tournament, I asked my opponent where he was from. He responded, "New York, You?". I said, "Wisconsin". He said, "What state is that in?"

It was a competition called Futures Problem Solving, you can find it here at fpspi.org. If your school offers it, I highly recommend you join! It's a lot of fun!

It's been a while since I had a caramello koala XD, anyway, when you come to Australia, you have to try stuff like vegemite, and cordial, and you have to get yourself a boomerang and you have to also see the australian animals like kangaroos, and emus, and platypuses, and wombats, and kookaburras, and of course koalas XD
As for which state you should go to, I have no idea (I live in Victoria, and don't really know many tourist locations in NSW/QLD XD)

There were Singaporeans? Where? Do you remember the Singaporeans?
Well, you all know what country I'm from, so you shouldn't be surprised.
[Actually, I think I might know who it is... I know a guy who knows a guy who knows a guy that went to an international conference... but I didn't get the specifics...]

Thanks to everyone who replied!
@AnimeCreatorArtist: whut
@12three: It was called Futures Problem Solving: to learn more go to fpspi.org.
@JJROCKER: Yeah, it is! It's a lot of fun! But my coach (who is one of the best guys in the world you could ever meet,) is going off to a foreign country, which I shall not reveal) to get a degree. But he said he's doing it for us.
@ssss: Um...sure! XD
@deatheater: Well, you should have one! Caramello Koalas are deeelish!
In response to your post, I know what Vegemite is but what is cordial? Is it similar to the stuff the Baudelaires had in A Series of Unfortunate Events?
@helltank: I don't remember their names, but I could tell you what school they came from. But I don't want to reveal it here, for the sake of their privacy.

It's kind of obsessive to go to Australia because you liked one guy for (admittedly) shallow reasons.

Ehh.
Yeah, I have to admit that I agree with you, but now it's all for the koalas. Like this one.
@GravityCatisalie: That expresses me perfectly at the moment!

Wisconsin is just the best state, period. (I'm from there, obviously.)

Koalas can attack
Yes they can. But mostly when provoked. The best way to hold a koala is with their face away from you, by their arms, because they are virtually helpless.
