I will have four projects- Halo Forerunner (just the game), the game guide, the trailer and the special edition (including the game, the guide, and multiple trailers.

I did. I've decided not to make it a scroller. The humans were never defeated. The forerunners in the game will be wearing combat skin. This is what happened: The Forerunner's home planet was invaded by flood. They fought and fought, but it didn't work. Then they built the halos, the super weopon. They then activated it, destroying flood and all sentient life (Covenant, humans, animals, e.t.c.). But they weren't stupid. They had gathered DNA from all sentient forms. Unfortuantly, they discluded themselves from this. For some reason, the kept some flood safe on the rings.

Trivia
The covenant worship the forerunners and think if the actrivate Halo it will make a path for all to follow.
The covanant's weopons are based of forerunner artifacts.
The covenant are technically commiting heracy, since humans are decenants from forerunners.
The forerunners left all of there planet for the humans.
It turns out that the master cheif is a forerunner, making him the only one who can rebuild.

In the game, you will play as a monitor, banished forerunner, and a human.

Well, I got my info from halo nation. In thew first game, 343 guilty spark says that the humans are like, the soul heirs to what the forerunners left behind.
