Collab Camp

Collab Camp is coming to the Scratch community this August! Collab Camp invites Scratchers to form a collab with other Scratchers and create a project based on a theme or challenge. A collab is a group of Scratch that work together or collaborate on Scratch projects. The theme for this Camp will be announced August 1 and will run until August 31. For more information, go to this page.

I can't wait to see the results! I might work in a collab, or start one. Or, like last time, decide my skills aren't good enough to participate in this type of contest, and just wait until the next one.

On another note, how is the "Collab Camp" going to be similar/different to the old one?

Is it going to be another "use these sprites in your project"? Or are you perhaps going to have a theme like "make an under-water themed project"? Or are you going to have a genre specific like "make a platformer" (probably not this one)? Or a mix?

EDIT: I also noticed that there's going to be a meetup at the MIT Media Lab for the event. What would you do if all of your collab partners don't happen to live in your neighborhood or something (let's say some live in the rest of the U.S. or in another country)? Probably not go I'm guessing?

I might join the Saintly Collab Team again if they let me.

But honestly it doesn't sound that. It should be "Go make a project with some other people, kay?" not "Here follow this stupid theme/use these boring sprites."

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

Good questions. The entire collab does not have to be present. We understand that collaborations can happen around the world! Anyone participating in Collab Camp is welcome to attend.

God collabs are tough im in this one with this guy appgameman and he litterly bailed on me... So I wont do collabs for awhile
