i just got fussed at for wanting to re-download minecraft (classic) 

i don't have building blocks

I wanna try! Does it require modloader.

If so, how do you install modloader?

It's really easy, and AudioMod is easy too. You just need to drag the .class files into the minecraft.jar. Here are the recommended mods if your getting Aether:

- Modloader (required)
- AudioMod (required)
- TooManyItems (optional, but useful if you want to get the materials for the portal itself instantly.)
- Single Player Commands (this might help, but it currently does not work with the Aether. It will later, though.)

I tried to install the Aether Mod, but it required me to Force Update.

I had no idea what that meant at the time, but now I know that gets rid of any other mods you have.

I just wasted a whole morning's work of mod-installing. D:

I have TooManyItems and Portal Mods and Singleplayer Commands and the Aether worked.

I installed the portal gun mod! It is sooo cool!

I don't know how to alter the turret mode though. I went into the portalgun file, edited with notepad, but the turrets still target me.

What do I do?

Oh and portal songs in minecraft ftw.

Well, the clay soldiers mod is awesome. Installed it, worked first time, bult an arena with pistons doors to seperate the armies, outfitted them with weapons and armour, then set them on each other. its really fun. Then I gave them some gunpowder and they explode whenthey die. XD kept blowing up the windows.

Then I went and did some redstone circutry with pistons, really fun and easy actually.

Well now I don't even have the Aether, I was so depressed I decided not to continue.

Well, I decided to overcome my depression and continue installing the Aether. I have it now!

Mine messed up the jar, and I didn't want too reinstall all my mods, so deleted all the files manually ._.

...You guys JUST NOW start really talking about mods.

Okay here's how you install the aether mod:

Force update your minecraft.

Then download ModLoader, AudioMod and PropertyReader for 1.7.3.

Delete Meta-Inf.

Delete Meta-Inf.

DELETE META-INF.

Install ModLoader, AudioMod and PropertyReader to your minecraft.jar.

Open the Aether Mod Zipfile.

Install the files in the "minecraft-jar" folder to your minecraft.jar folder.

Install the files in  the "resources" folder to your resources folder.

Install toomanyitems and singleplayercommands if you want.

Enjoy aether.
