the scratch police is garbage. Just ignore the scratch police. And it's taken over by the virus.

Re: Scratchers Giving Bad Comments

Well, how cares if somebody write a bad comment like booooooooooooo because comments are suposed to be used for opinoin but saying someone is a jerk is offenive and could hurt someones feelings,so I think people should be banned if they say something like that.

Re: Scratchers Giving Bad Comments

I guess we all have to face something like that at least one time in our scratch life...

While we all may get disagreeable comments from time to time...we have a couple of ways we can respond to them:

1. Some people just delete them and forget about them - and that's a pretty good way to deal with them!

2. Another approach is to respond politely to the commenter and try and see why the person left the comment they did...sometimes that helps them realize that their words are touching real people and they may improve their comments in the future.

3. If the comments are very mean or threatening, it's a good idea to use the "Flag as inappropriate" link below every comment to alert the Scratch Team so they can look into it.

Try to avoid making angry replies though, as that may just start a fight  smile

Oh and to add on to paddle's post if the person repetivly is mean to you you can ignore him by going onto ur my stuff page and hitting the button on the left-hand side of the screen that says  "edit my ignore list"  Then the scratch team will also look into it

Dear Scratch Users,
I'm done with scratch, or at least making projects. I have made one last big game, thats both fun and teaches a lesson about water. It'd mean a lot if you gave me feedback.                              http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/bosox397/569201

Re: Scratchers Giving Bad Comments

one point I would like to point out though, is that i often find a misunderstanding between a rude comment and constructive criticism. I have often given people crit about their project, telling them their strong and where they need to improve. For example "You menu interface is well designed, however your gaming engine is very buggy.". However a comment like "this project is terrible" doesn't help anyone, and is a very bad habit. I feel that if your comment isn't either going to make the user feel better, or try help their work, its not worth expressing.
