Animation to youtube export... Scratch animations to video export

Is there an option to export Scratch animations to video? ( -> youtube)

Some GOOD animations here deserve a greater audience!

I want to rewind or fast forward other users animations!

My thoughts on some bad animations here:

I want to see in advance how many minutes these play
and decide upon when to skip looking at.

I wrote a really long reply explaining why it can't, unfortunately work, and then the site somehow lost my post when I sent it so I will suffice this time to simply say "no, unfortunately not."  hmm

actually, it is possible. all u have to do is use a screen recording program such as HyperCam 3. i think HyperCam 3 includes an editor, so u can cut bit out that u don't want in the vid.

Thanks!  big_smile
But this one is not free.

Any free screen and audio recorder? Screen grabber?

Maybe in a bootable ubuntu linux without installation needed?

Would be a nice Scratch feature to include:
Export screen output to ogg

Oh! That's actually a great way to do it! Hadn't thought of that, I guess I was too busy imagining smalltalk to flash conversion in my head!

I believe screentoaster may be a free one though that may have changed since I used it...

LOL!

Something like that is likely your best bet... or you could just redo the animation in Flash.  smile
