True, but you can always make a new account under a different name.

Then just upload any projects you wish to keep to the new account.

Actually, no. Names are permanent on the Scratch site.

You could contact the Scratch Team about issues you may have (such as deleting your old account), but name changes aren't possible on the site due to the way the site is built,
