While I think it's a great idea to try to encourage people to help out using a system like this, giving love-it's for any reason other than the fact that you actually like someone's project is typically not condoned. Besides, I think people should help out because they want to add something to the community instead of for a reward.

I see what you're saying.
But the community is sinking low. If they want love-its, they'll try to do this, and while they do this, they'll learn to actually help out for themselves, not rewards!
