Just wondering, as me and another friend were thinking of trying a joint project.
Can we turn on an option, or do we just share-delete and re-upload?

You can do mesh if you download hamachi.

Not Mesh, programming it together.
I think you would have to send them to each other, or work in the same spot.

There is some online thing where you can see the other person's screen on your screen, but I don't think you would be able to interact with each other...imaging having a block tug-o-war while arguing where block should go...LOL

You'd have to share screens.

Currently the only way to do that is, how you said, share, delete, and re-upload.
But hopefully in Scratch 2.0 we will be able to do something like this since it will be an online tool.

Not necessarily. If you have fast internet (which most people do), you could set up a dropbox account for the project, and so each time one of clicked save, the other one would almost immediately get that version on their computer. And you could set up a text chat sort of thing to communicate (including, but not limited to, facebook and google talk). You can get a free dropbox account here:

Dropbox is indeed very useful, but the only disadvantage to using it the way you propose is that both people working on the project would have to log in with the same account so that it would stay synchronized.
