this is unfair
hi guys. treebark1313 here
i was just banned for snapping at this guy for giving me a hate comment.
1 time.
just 1.
scratch won't respond.
they won't accept my apology.
why do more serious offenders get un-banned?
and not minor ones?
this is not fair.
scratch, please un-ban me.

You should talk about personal problems with the Scratch Team by pressing "Contact Us" below, at the bottom of the page.
And why respond to such a person? Just delete their comment and add to your ignore list. Done.

you're right, i realized that a few seconds after i posted my reply, i was like "dang"
and i did.. so im hoping the decide to unblock me....

If you have an otherwise clean record, it should only only last a day or two at most. If it's been longer, I'd be surprised.
Also, for everything concerning a specific ban on an account, it's best to discuss privately with the Scratch Team. They usually prefer not to publicize ban details.
I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Just don't flame at people. What happens is one person is a jerk so the other person flames back and more and more people get involved at take sides and you lose some of your friends because they take the other side and etc. It's a never ending cycle of hate so the Scratch team may have blocked you for

hay sir. if anyone says bad stuff and you are annoyed. simply press the [x] under the annoying comment or add the user to your ignore list if they keep writing bad stuff
if you want everyone to like you be a good resident

Good advice upthread!
Just a note - it seems like most people assume bans are permanent if we don't get back to them within a day or so. But it's very rare that bans are permanent - basically you have to do something really bad or lie to us when requesting to be unblocked.
But the ban page doesn't do a great job of saying this - so I'm looking at changing it up a bit to make things more clear (and to show past notifications and deleted comments. We almost never ban for one single thing that's bad. But we do block when warnings have been given already and aren't being listened to.)
Help Scratchers make the leap to 2.0!
