The original Sonic the Hedgehog games

Has anyone played them besides me played them? I am learning how to hack all of the original Sonic games except for Sonic CD. Discussify the original Sonic games.

List of original Sonic the Hedgehog games in order:
Sonic the Hedgehog (16-bit)
Sonic the Hedgehog (8-bit)
Sonic and Tails (Sonic 2 16-bit)
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (8-bit)
Sonic CD
Sonic the Hedgehog 3
Sonic and Knuckles
Sonic Crackers (Sonic Studium) (early alpha of Knuckles Chaotix)

You can discuss Knuckles Chaotix, but Sonic isn't in it.

You should play Sonic CD! It is AWESOME, maybe the best Sonic game ever! By the way, Sonic Crackers is an early alpha of Knuckles Chaotix.

I love the old sonic games with their classic arcade music and sound effects. I've got:

I liked pretty much everything up to maybe Sonic Adventure (not sure if it counts as a classic, but it was a pretty decent game imo), when I was like 10 or something  tongue  I've played those in the list in emulators only, but I had Sonic 3 & Knuckles for PC  big_smile

In relation to these games, Sonic R is pretty 'new'. My first Sonic game was Advanced 3.

I've played and owned all of them, including Sonic CD and even an original Dreamcast with SA1 and 2.

The Mega Drive was the only 16-bit console at the time, so they wanted to show off (and it worked, at the time) and release it for the Mega Drive/Genesis first, then a remake for the portable fans (for the 8-bit Game Gear/Master System).

I have Sonic 3. And no, you have to combine Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles to get Sonic 3 and Knuckles.

Yes, but I listed Sonic 3 and Knuckles because they were meant to be released together, but Sonic Team ran out of time.
