6 & 1/2 hours 'til elections!
Nice sig! GIMP?
Anyway, are you sure? You posted that at 12:30 Scratch time, so... 7:00?
Maybe I'm getting the time zones wrong
Oops, I looked at the wrong computer clock.
Six hours 'til 11AM New Zealand time. (I have that to know when I can easily "chat" with Chrischb and Jonathanpb. )
Yeah, I made my sig in GIMP. Thanks for liking it!

I know NZ is one hour ahead of me, but I have central US time and GMT time on my computer so I know when I can easily chat with my UK and US friends
So how many hours left? Just over 11 I think?

How will the vote take place? I would like to be able to link to it in my signature whilst the vote is in progress?
It'll be a page that shows up here:
http://scratch.mit.edu/elections/vote
(Until 11 am tomorrow, and after 11 pm, it'll just be a 404 error.)jji7skyline wrote:
Who will be allowed to vote? I guess it should be everyone but for security and fairness, shouldn't it be only 'Scratchers'?
Or put differently, it shouldn't be 'New Scratchers'?Yep, those'r the rules.
To bad there wasn't more time for the campaign. Although I thoroughly enjoyed reading what the nominees had to say, I wish they had more time to explain in-depth about how they planned to do it.

Just you wait, in 2 years I will be running. But I know who I am voting for.

How will you vote?

You'll organize the candidates in your order of preference.

Wait, if they start on the 21st, does it mean they start exactly on July 21st, 2011, 0:00 (12:00 AM) EST? If so, here are the times for people living in different timezones in the USA:
Central Time (CST)- July 20th, 2011, 23:00 (11:00 PM)
Mountain Time (MST)- July 20th, 2011, 22:00 (10:00 PM)
Pacific Time (PST) (my timezone!)- July 20th, 2011, 21:00 (9:00 PM)
If people don't know what timezone they are in, they can check this list. The elections are starting at 11:00 a.m. Eastern time tomorrow. Thus, it would be 10 a.m. Central time, 9 a.m. Mountain time, and 8 a.m. Pacific time.
OK. I'll be up by then
Now, when do they end?
They end 12 hours after they start. That would be 11 p.m. Eastern, 10 p.m. Central, 9 p.m. Mountain, and 8 p.m. Pacific.

I love how everyone posted the timezones with which time, it made it so I didn't need to do the math. I was hoping to add my vote the second I could and then my Mother tells me I'm going on a hike in half an hour. Eh, oh well.

I've added that you can vote now to the Wiki.
2 seconds off.

Yeah! That was awesome. I think next time we should probably make the voting stay open for 24 hours, just to make sure Scratchers in every timezone can vote easily.
