iPad = iTouch on steroids.

I'd say get an tablet loaded with Android, but that wasn't one of my choices.

Don't compare iPads/iPods to iMacs, they are just different things.  It is like apples/oranges to steak  tongue

If you want a tablet, get a iPad, but if you want a real computer, def. get a iMac

If you plan on getting the devicefor gaming/apps, get an iPad. If you really just want to listen to music, it'd be better to get an iPod Touch. You can listen to music on the iPad, but then you havto carry it around.

All in all, I'm happy with my iPad 64gb 1st gen, but then again, I have over a thousand apps.

There are probably more games for iPad/iPod Touch than Mac, to be honest. XD

I suppose it would depend on your needs. If you already have a decent PC, there aren't that many reasons to get a Mac. A tablet comes down to personal preference. Some people may find them useful, but others may not. Personally, I'd get the iPod Touch. I have a 2nd generation and I always have it with me, as it's incredibly useful for music, light web browsing, checking up on news, or just playing a game to keep myself busy.

I know that!!! But my parents seem determined to get me an iMac  sad

I know I shouldn't be comparing them... but I think I'll get either the iMac or the iTouch, the iPad seems to have a limited use  tongue

Because Macs emit less bad stuff and becuase it doesn't get viruses...

That's more important to them than price...

Electricity, mercury and stuff I guess... My dad's really sensitive to that kind of stuff and he can't stand windows computer  tongue

He also hates the 'whirring' sound of the cooling fan on windows computers XD
