So which is better and why?I think it depends on what the user is interested in. ^^
You know I'd like to see someone who is both a Harry Potter and Twilight fan to give his/her point of view. Less bias ftw.![]()
Your wish is answered.
I am a fan of Harry Potter and Twilight, and let's face it, it's the old LOTR/Star Wars comparison again. You simply cannot measure a fantasy wizard story against a romance vampire story. Same as you cannot measure epic classical fantasy against epic classical science fiction.
Also, I am a fan of LOTR and Star Wars as well. All are well written.

Really people. You won't convince someone that your book is better than theirs. True fans will stay fans no matter what others say. I, for one, have not and will not read either.

HARRY POTTER ALL THE WAI!!
seriously, the movies are epic, there are more books, and they're longer. Hands down, Harry Potter. Oh, and it also came first.

Harry Potter wins. Twilight is just stupid. Seriously, sparkling vampires? What kind of vampire sparkles? Vampires are supposed to be evil creatures, not weak creatures that are made out of sequins and glitter.

I don't like Twilight either, but maybe it would be better to discuss the actual plot, writing or characters rather than the fact that you don't like the premise.

FICTION
Even most fiction doesn't break multiple laws of science.

Harry Potter definatly.
And just to point something out, why does Edward sparkle?

magic TRICKS are, if u take into account that theyre tricks.
there's no such thing as REAL magic.

Well, its unique. Most vampires die in the sunlight but this is just something the author decided to make out of the vampires.

Magic tricks aren't even CLOSE to the real magic tho. Harry Potter and Twilight just have graphic effects! Yes, the magic of the greenscreen and some editing can make a movie brilliant but not real! (agreeing with Imnotbob)

Proof? I don't believe it exists, but I'm pointing out that this is a very flimsy argument.

The earwax-flavored Bertie Botts' Bean

I once ate a puke flavored one D:
Ikr! I ate 2 vomits(they were very tasty), 1 earwax(it tastes nothing like real earwax:lol:), 1 rotten egg(it was gross), 1 soap(yummy), 3 cinnamons(they taste weird). I even ate real grass(off of the ground).
My cousin offered me a bag to spit the jelly beans out, but I swallowed every one of them(except the real grass).

I'm a sparkling Lord Voldedward. Magic is real - to sparkling evil villians. lol

Vampires are more realistic than magic. There are some people who have sharp teeth, extremely pale and like the taste of blood. The closest thing to magic here (on Earth) is cartoons, science, and magic tricks.

Any proof? The average human implies just because they haven't seen something, it doesn't exist. The truth is, that is a total contradiction. If you haven't seen something, it means you have no right to say it doesn't exist.
