Same with me. I have Flash player installed, but on project area the picture of project is displayed with following tooltip "You need Adobe Flash to play this".
When I check Flash version on http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/155/tn_15507.html
it says:
Your player version: WIN 10,2,153,1
Operating system: Windows 7
My browser is IE9.
Does anyone know how to fix it? It happenes to me too!!

I love the scratch player! My projects run way faster and smoother!

It is working well but you need to upgrade scratch so games and animations run on flash and not java. Than upgrade scratch so animations can be longer.

As part of our experiments with Flash, we are now releasing a beta version of a Flash player that you can use instead of the Java player. Please let us know what you think. If you find any bugs, please report them on this thread.
Notes on Flash:
The new (beta) Scratch player requires version 10.0 or later of the Adobe Flash Player. Adobe Flash Player is free, comes pre-installed on Windows and Macintosh computers, and is used by many websites including YouTube. Chances are you already have it. However, if you are testing the new Scratch player and nothing happens when you view a project (i.e. you just see a picture of that project), you might need to install the latest version of the Adobe Flash Player. You can download that here. If you want to find out which version of Adobe Flash Player is currently installed in your browser, visit this page.
If you can't install Flash on your computer, you can revert to using the default Java-based Scratch player to view projects on the website.
UPDATE 2011-02-23: The full screen issue has been fixed. Please let us know if this is not the case.Umm... Help! Flash isn't working for me on this site... even though Java does, my Flash works on other sites and it's, like, version 10.[a bunch of numbers goes here]. Does anyone know what's wrong? P.S. This problem only started when I got my computer fixed after a virus attacked it. It was all good before the virus.

The flash player is quite good however it takes more time to load the project

I like it. My windows 98 could turn on faster than the Java Player could load any project. Thank you so much for this. The Flash Player has helped everyone.

Okay. SOMETIMES it'll work. It differs from project to project. If possible, however, you should use the same engine you use to run downloaded Scratch. This way, on- and off-line, the project will function EXACTLY THE SAME.
