The Lady, or the Tiger?
Whilst listening to They Might Be Giants' new album, I came across a song called "The Lady and the Tiger". It takes characters from a short story called The Lady, or the Tiger?
Read it here.

I say lady. I can't imagine that the princess would send her lover to a grisly doom.
Everything is better when you add a little cheddar, because when you have cheese your life is at ease

True... but I just have a hard time thinking that the princess sends her lover to die (you know, the idea that if you truly love someone, you would let them go).
Now if it was the guy making the decision, maybe he might go for the tiger to spare the princess from being heartbroken. Eh, then again, I dunno.
The ending is up to the reader, anyway.

Ugh, I remember this from school, I'd have to say the tiger just cuz she probably can't stand the lover being with anyone else, IDK, maybe afterwards she kills herself to join him
