I can't sleep.
It's 2:00 AM here. I'm tired, but I can't fall asleep. It's been going on for like 3 days.

I hate it when I can't sleep.

Insomnia is classified not by the amount of time you sleep, but by how refreshed you feel when you wake up. So you could be a teenager who sleeps from 10:00 pm to 11:00 and still be tired - that would be insomnia wheras Margaret Thatcher (to give a famous example) slept about three hours a night but functioned fine all the same

Never has happened to me....

It's not the staying up all night that botheers me, it's this sort of guilt I have when I can't sleep. When I have insomnia I remind myself that I won't be a happy camper the next day.

I need sleep, but not much. E.g. I recently stayed up from 7:00 AM Thurs to 12:00 PM Fri and went to sleep and only needed 4 hours.
But I can sleep longer on normal nights.

Hmm. Weird. I can never fall asleep. When I do, it's around 5:30 in the morning.
