Here is another animated gif related problem. When this gif is imported it gets messed up.

Re: animated gif won't import

I take it your taking from from http://mcleodgaming.com/ssf2sprites/

I had the same problem with the Link final smash. The scratch team said the file was too big, which is understanadble with the final smash coz it's probably 100 costumes or something, however those seem quite small so it may be something else.

Re: animated gif won't import

I've had the same problem with a few of the Ness ones. I just had to use different costumes from a sprite sheet.

You could. That's how you use the Mcleod site. You open up the folder with the animated gif and you drag the .gif onto a sprite.

Whoa! The "sonic sideair" one gets really messed up if you import it. It looks like those TVs when the static comes! Right, archmage?

Whoa, you're right.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Yes, this is because, if you notice, each sequential costume has the new one, AND all the previous ones behind it. This isn't a problem if they are the same shape, but if they aren't, it gets messed up. there is no "fix" to this, it is just a bug in scratch.

Ummm no. They fixed that bug in the new version of scratch. This is a different problem.

i'm not to sure about this but you might be able to import it as a flash file

(i don't think this will work but you might be able to try it)

I can import it into flash and fix it but I shouldn't have to. Its just some gifs that seem to have problems.
