The defense blew it. That game should have been over in regulation at 1-0, but Buehler and Krieger decided to bounce the ball off each other and let Miyama score instead of clearing it. Not to mention the fact that they should have been up at least 2-0 at halftime after all the chances they missed...
But still, a great job by Japan, I give them a ton of credit. They never gave up, and their goalie was pretty good in the shootout.
