I think sometimes studios misjudge what movies need or don't need sequals *coughTheIncrediblesandnotmonstersinccough*.

Sometimes they ruin the movies, but look at the HP series, all the movies rocked, especially Deathly Hallows 1 & 2.
I think it helps if the writers have books they have to follow.

scream
Google it if you don't know what Scream is.
The sequels made it get better
But the Halloween sequels SUCKED HARDCORE.

You guys are aware that Star Wars was based off of a book series, right? Just checking.

The directors of Eragon only used the books as guidelines, its their own fault the movie had a completely different storyline.

True. I love the Eragon books btw! However, just because there is a book that the movie is based off of doesn't mean it will work I was just using Eragon as an example.

They'd be basing the whole underminer thing on a video game if they did that.

doubt it. it would take place a few years after since they keep to "real" timelines.
Like the actual number of years passing before TS3 came out that it would have taken for a real life Andy to be college aged. Cars 2 did the same thing! It was 5 years since the release. Lightning didn't win a Piston Cup that year but he has won 4 since Cars and the Piston/Hudson Hornet races are (i assume) annual.
I would love to see I2 focus on Violet

They are all good.
No, only the original trilogy.

Metacritic: The Phantom Menace comes in at a rating of 52
Attack of the Clones at 53
And I do agree that Revenge of the Sith is the best prequel coming at 68.
But all of those are measly compared to the 90 somethings of Star Wars New Hope. And I don't even get why they hate RotJ so much on there.this.
the original saga was absolutely awesome.
but episode 1, 2 and 3 (the prequel thingies) are HORRIBLE.
absolute RUBBISH.
