Oh, I thought you meant the company. You're talking about the actual Walt Disney. Next time be more specific.

Disney isn't good. The theme park is cheap, there's only like 1 real rollercoaster in each park. The shows are just awful, I can't believe they try to pass that stuff off as comedy. The movies are up and down, most are just silly family comedies that are sort of cute for the kiddies but aren't really entertaining.

I like Disney and disagree with your post. I just think they can be too greedy at times.

I do agree that Disney makes some bad choices, but don't we all? All buisnesses make poor choices. I mean look at Dreamworks and Shrek... Was it really necessary to make four movies (all based off of a 50 something page children's book btw). And they can be greedy... I play on the online world of Pixie Hollow and to really have any fun you need to have a membership (which I traded to get Portal). It's like $50+ for a full year or about $6 a month. Plus, where the hey is KIM POSSIBLE on DVD?

I think Disney makes mostly good choices, but no one is perfect so they make mistakes too. Look at the Parks for crying out loud! So much magic    They pay attention to every little detail. Have you ever seen a bag of garbage be carried through the park? I think not. They do their best to make a great experience for all ages. And FYI there are a good number of rollercoasters in the Parks (Space Mountain, Mount Everest, ect). (Though they could serve to fix the Yeti)

The movies (though they do have some [but very few] that go south) are great. They find a great balance between entertaining the kids and adults. I saw Winnie the Pooh today and laughed my head off! Some (ok maybe not a lot) of the TV shows do the same thing. My grandpa loves Phineas and Ferb. (Ok, maybe that's the only Disney TV show that does that...).

They could also recognize that girls like some of the boy-oriented franchises as well (Cars, P&F, to name a few).

If you want to have a good chuckle about some of the stuff Disney does do wrong, check out The Disco Yeti blog. Huge fan I am, I laughed at this.

People focus on Disney's faults because they are a very prominent company. If you are well known, people are gonna find your faults.

  @lilac Technically what you said means that being a prominant company makes it ok to cut big budget movies which many people love? Err, and Coke being popular makes it healthy?

No, I don't think so...    I mean to sat that everyone makes poor choices sometimes and the people at Disney are no different.
