Now that's not true and you know it. There is no set quantity of posts or projects to become a Scratcher. Posting 10 projects will certainly make it likely for you to be upgraded, but it's not a guarantee.

There are new scratchers with hundreds of posts, heck, I wasn't a scratcher for 180 posts! You also need a good amount of decent projects (Not just like, a bunch of projects that are just pictures of the scratch cat facing different directions). And even if you have all that (Including the lots of posts) and are still not a scratcher, like I was, there are LOTS of people that do scratch. It probably takes time for moderators to notice you. So, yes, it takes time.

Just have fun and you'll be a Scratcher soon! Make some nice projects (try using someone's tutorial), press Love-It on cool projects, give nice comments, and, most of all, keep having fun Scratching!

Well maybe by tomorrow or day after I will become a Scratcher. I have over 200 posts, and 3 pages of projects and more than needed for activeness and still not a Scratcher... Well it's been 19 minutes since I should've been a Scratcher, I should give them some more time tongue .

You don't have to actually POST on the forums. Replying to other people's topics like this one already counts as a post. YOU don't have to post topics. Also, if you post more projects, comments, galleries, and favorite some more things and NOT frequent the forums, you might have an upgraded status.

According to the Scratch Wiki, there was a New Scratcher with a record of 600 posts!
