I think people underestimate the damage smoking actually causes:

- It caused my grandfather on my dad's side to die in his 50s, but not before having at least 3 strokes and developing dementia.

- It gave my grandfather on my mom's side lung cancer - killing him when my mom was only 11.

- Also: on average, 1200 people die daily because of smoking.

Remind me again why people, in this day and age, start smoking?

I HATE smoking and all the rest of it! I can't stand the smell and I find the whole thing absolutely disgusting. I don't know why people start smoking at all!

I know its hard to quit for those who smoke but there really are many reasons to quit and none to keep smoking. 

I don't know anyone who smokes...    . Everyone in a family I know is asthmatic, which is sad, but now they can't smoke. Overall bad but good in this instance.

Whenever a walk past a group of teens smoking, I plug my nose and stick it up in the air.

my dad smokes, and I hate it. I feel really sorry for him because he's so ashamed of his smoking and trys to hide from me and my sister. He keeps trying to quite but can't. Why do these stupid people keep making cigarettes? Why do you want to buy something for 6 bucks a pack that will eventually kill you. Whenever you buy cigarettes you are paying for death. Also on this thought, the people who make cigarettetes take them to other countries to get them hooked on something that they don't know will kill them. These people are just plain greedy.

My father told me to puff once on a cigarette, so I won't be tempted to be "curioused" into smoking. I tried it. I think at that moment, God must have shouted,"It's a trap!" because I felt a strange feeling of doom as I clamped my mouth over that stick.

I spent half an hour coughing, and vowed never to smoke for any reason.

Look, now I've made a vow against smoking, right? That was the intended effect, or at least so I won't go berserk when I have a cigarette offered to me and smoke the whole pack in one go.
