Also, it's nothing new. My old elementary school banned tag!
Seriously, stop being so overprotective, people! It's called "life" and children need to deal with it.
Well if your'e dealing with life, I guess you should deal with the fact that your life doesn't include tag.

Why do you have to be so rude? What did I ever do to you? Obviously, you fail to see what I'm trying to explain, so stop being so sarcastic. What I'm trying to say is that people get hurt while playing tag at times, which is why the school banned it to begin with. However, I think they need to unban it because kids need to learn how to deal through pain and hardship because life throws things at you that you need to be prepared for. Even the simplest thing can be a help. Also, yes, tag is part of life, no matter how small or silly it is.

Same as being hurt, not having tag was also thrown at you. I see your point but mine is still valid, dismissed as mere sarcasm or not.
If you still went to that school I would've recommended a letter to the principal about it whenever they make you write letters anyway.

And no, it is not banned everywhere. Several religious groups have attempted to though. I believe most of the prejudice against the book was generated due to the movie anyhow.

No, I no longer go to that school. I'm 13 now and that was elementary.

Write a letter about how you don't even have recess. You know you want to.

Books aren't harmless. The right idea can start a war or change a mind.

Brotip-A story about an epic kid with an epic scar using an epic stick to defeat an epic guy with another epic stick which happens to be bros with the epic kid's epic stick has a low chance of starting a war.

Ideas in the book could change someone's mind. There are ideals in Harry Potter.

This is probably the stupidest most biased thing I've ever seen:
"Harry Potter is Evil"
One of the points is that there is a HP WitchCraft school ran by some 15 year old Satanist, but it's not officially sanctioned by the author or anyone associated with it. T They talk about how Satanists think it helps their cause, but what about quotes from the author? (A specific one being that she believes in God but doesn't want to reveal specific beliefs because she would reveal the plot. (I think that belief is Jesus seeing how Jesus dies for friends and comes back))
Biased Idiot Article Drop Time:
"A Stick In The Mud
"A Documentary: Harry Potter, Making WitchCraft Look Innocent"
"Dumbledore Is Gay" (So what? I don't believe it's right but still. And the part where it says "demonic witchcraft"? Yeah right, they don't summon demons or have any relation to them, Sorcerers Apprentice has demon witchcraft, where's an uprising against it.
"Harry Potter Site Too Popular" (Okay, this one he just acts like a jerk waiting for a kick in the face)
And all thos articles he wasted time making are pretty much all brought down by a quote that says that the Harry Potter series would be spoiled for you if you knew the exact Christian religion of JK Rowling.

Also if it's like a really big book, you can use it as a hammer or something

I only managed to read half of the first link before having an impromptu stomach muscle workout from laughing.
All I can say is,"They missed the part where Dumbledore explains drinking unicorn blood is evil and bad."

Well in fairness, The Golden Compass did have some rather strong anti-religion undertones. I know it's fiction, but authors can still express a point of view through their work.

Why? Why? Why the madness? Why the banning of awesome books like Harry Potter and The Golden Compass.
If you're against magic because it offends the Christian religion(by the way, I'm a Christian and I don't feel offended..) or against The Golden Compass because it says that Catholic religion is a con to make money and stuff, you should get a life.
If a non fiction book proclaimed that, I would say,"Okay, that's fair." But this is fiction!! We all know it's fake. Why must you go around banning it from schools and libraries? Think of the children!
It doesn't take an expert psychologist(but judging from your behaviors, you think it does for some reason) to tell you that reading Harry Potter will not make your son become embroiled in an evil cult with bloodletting and sacrificial rituals, nor will reading His Dark Materials(also known as The Golden Compass trilogy) make your child renounce everything he's ever known about Christianity, ever, and join the devil.

Magic offends the Christian religion? I did not know that.
I personally believe the Christian religion offends magic.

Spoiler alert....
At the end of the first book, Lyra sees Lord Asriel go into Citagazze. In the second book, she figures out he went there to build his fortress in order to attack Heaven. It should be noted he succeeded. And apart from small things like Iofur Raknison, she only has two enemies-Heaven and the Church. Mary Malone, an important character, gives some strongly negative opinions about Christianity.

lots of people not saying people on scratch) REALLY need to read the U.S. constitution. FREEDOM OF SPEECH! If video games are protected by free speech, books are protected, no doubt.
Harry Potter does not seem offensive considering that most of the main characters are christians.
