I got to the underground jungle recently. Today I accidently flooded it. I was trying to kill a goldfish. I tried to drain the water so the goldfish woiuld die. The water never stopped flowing.
Edit: It eventually stopped flowing. It was an insane amount of water for a small pool of water.

Terraria is about spelunking A type of exploring and crafting and building, while Minecraft is about exploring and building. And crafting!(Red is what PW132 changed.)
But still, Terraria seems to have RPG elements and is in 2D, while Minecraft is in 3D and, um, doesn't have RPG elements.
Building in Terraria stinks. I am a lot more proud of my dirt house in Minecraft while my Terraria house isn't original or cool at all.

I found the corruption and destroied a shadow orb, but it gave me an orb of light. The wiki said the first one is always a musket.

Could be a glitch, but you should really hope for a meteorite to land because the stuff you can make with that is awesome!
P.s. The orb of light is better than a musket anyway.

yeah. They 1 hit KO you after you get deep into the dungeon without killing Skeletron.
(Sorry for the necro D:)
I'm going to fight the EoW, I have 250+ spiky balls, a sky platform, a corruption spawn, a minishark with 750 musket balls, a demon bow with 50 unholy arrows, a heckuvalot of flaming arrows, and even more plain arrows. I have a Light's Bane, a War Axe of The Night, an Enchanted Boomerang, a Harpoon, a little Vile Powder (8 or so), and some shuriken. What should I do?

I'll get it eventually, but I'm trying to get a disk drive for my Commodore 64 right now. It looks really cool, but I have my priorities set right now.
I also like it's music more than Minecraft's.![]()

Terraria's music is repetitive, loud and repetitive.
Minecraft's music, on the other hand, is simple, quiet, but also extremely effective.
And it's made by C418

You're repetitive
. Terraria has a good soundtrack because it reflects the action, especially the boss fights.
Anyway, I whooped the EoW's butt. I also made an obsidian farm.

Terraria Review:
Upsides: Terraria has simplistic but amazing pixel art graphics. Exploring and combat is an obvious highlight of the game. There are three major sections to explore and fight in where you can also summon bosses: Eater Of Worlds, Eye of Cthulu, and Skeletron. These all have a different ways to summon them. The combat has many, many, many weapons as well as 50 enemies to fight with your arsenal.
Downsides: You just don't have enough to build with in this. Decorational items are limited to a few simple furnitures and the 2D doesn't allow much to be amazing, placing blocks also feels challenging in the game. Other upsides and downsides in the MC comparison.
Minecraft Comparison: For this part we will list similarities and see who does what better:
Blocks: Obviously, both games have block creation and deletion. But who utilizes the addicting formula better? In Minecraft the 3D world allows for precision and ease, but in Terraria block placing and placing seems clunky and unbalanced. Building is challenging and aiming is difficult. MC wins this round.
Crafting: Both games feature crafting to create new items and use stuff you've mined and found. Minecraft features many recipes that users draw with their items to create objects. Terraria features a list of any items you can currently craft with items in your inventory. So who wins for best crafting mechanic? I've gotta say Minecraft. While Terraria's crafting is user friendly, Minecraft explains how all these materials are working together and is just more convincing and overall better then Terraria's.
Combat: As I said before, combat is a definite upside to Terraria, but a good battle in MC can be fun too. In MC, there are two general weapons (swords having multiple duplicates due to upgraded mineral) and in Terraria there are many, many, many, weapons. There are also around 50 monsters and enemies to fight. That's only about 42 more than MC. Terraria wins here.
Exploring and Mining: (Combined for lengths sake) In MC, you strip mine, and strip mine, and strip mine. But don't get me wrong there are plenty of thrilling caves and amazing sights to be seen both under and aboveground. If you don't really need the mineral, then take a boat and look for an epic landscape. In Terraria, there's no need for that much searching, most caves are above ground and if not, dig a whole for a little bit and you will find one. There are many cliffs and monsters to be seen and minerals to find, but aboveground exploration is lacking. The best it gets in aboveground exploring is finding a nice flatspot to build something. There can't be many (if any) epic areas due to the whole 2D thing. So while Terraria wins this round,
Minecraft gets a consolation of best scenery.
TL:DR: Minecraft handles crafting and building much better, but for fast paced combat and fun mining and cave hunts, get Terraria.
Just saying, combat and caves are going to be majorly upgraded in 1.8.

Just saying, that was made like during 1.4 and is on an as-is at the time basis for both games (which both update every now and then)

Minecraft's music is pleasant, but boring and repetitive after a while...
