Zombie sprites?
For some reason, now when i duplicate sprites they duplicate two times, one making a sprite not on the list and one that is on the list. The one that isn't on the sprite list can still be moved, and have scripts added to, but is there some bug in scratch like this?
I'm back.

If you duplicate a sprite when you have the paint editor open, you can create what you described. I haven't heard of it happening spontaneously though. I don't know why that's happening.
