I remeber, i think it was in 2009, we had a prediction topic for what scratch would be like in 2010 and 2011.
it was kinda interesting to see what people got wrong in that topic, and what people got horribly wrong.
So i thought it'd be cool to start another one for next year and the remainder of this year, just to compare what actually happened to what people predicted would.
here are some from 2009 topic;
"The Users of 2011: The Scratch Team couldn't take it anymore. They moved all of the forums with the Text-Based Games and hired 10 new mods. They hired 5 new people for the Scratch Team and were determined to end this crisis. The Scratcher Police played a huge part in this. All of this excitement caused more spammers, hackers, and bullies." ~iamrpk
"2010: Still peaceful in the early months. People making nice projects, with the occasional publicity streak. Later in the year, memes appear and Scratch grows like a social networking website."
~Greatdane
so yeah, go for it
just remember to stay respectful.

Scratch 2.0 finally get released but it isn't what we expected...
it's much better than we'd imagined.
My site Offline
Scratch 2.0 will be what everyone hoped for.

2011: Famous people come here and start making better projects.
2012: I can look at the front page again.
I'm optimistic.

When Scratch 2.0 is released, the program gains major praise. However, the new aesthetic design of both the program and the website draws major boos from the masses. It soon grows into riots as big as **** The New Layout and I Want The Old Facebook Back. People start making mirrors of the old website out of older versions of ScratchR. Then a "savior" comes to the people, one who will lead them in their exodus. They hire some professional hackers to forcefully move the forums and the mirrors of old to the same website as the TBG Forums, which shall become the cradle for a new Scratch. New admins and mods are elected to govern the new Scratch site. Welcome the age of Scratch 1.5...
So basically, Andrés, this is what will happen if the design doesn't change.

2011: Animations and people like swifty and astro make the front page. People say their projects aren't too good. People say the front page sucks these days.
2012: The earth ends you idiots. Why do we have to guess?

No no no, you've go it all wrong. The earth ends at October 21st, 2011 NOT 2012.
Anyway, I predict scratch will undergo another (gasp) kaj scare, some new scratchers making there way to the front page, and maybe even scratch 2.2 will come out, if the end of the world doesn't come first.

Nothing new happens, ever. Or will it...?

I think there will be a new Kaj. Or someone that scares everyone not in terms of hacking, but maybe something else.

Prediction: Much more advanced projects will start emerging...

Scratch herobrine?
Wow man.
This topic couldn't go without having MC mentioned.
On the other hand, if we're one to come, it might as well be Seaghost. http://scratch.mit.edu/users/SeaGhost
He went to my project and said "Hello." and I've never heard from him again.
