Aging Respect
Would you respect someone more if they were 13 or 14? What would make you respect that one more? WOULD there be a difference? I'm talking about all ages, so any age really. Which age would you respect over what? I think it would come close if they ages were close, duh.
What does a year in age do for you with respect and such?

For me, actions speak louder than ages, although if a 14 year old and an 11 year old have similar respectful actions, I may respect the 14 year old a really tiny bit more, but it doesn't make too much of a difference. The 11 year old would have still shown they can act respectfully.

For me, at least, respect is not so much related to age, but rather to actions and attitude. What has this person done and how do they treat others?

You know, now that I think about it, if someone is close to my age(2-3 years) or younger, I honestly don't have as much respect for them. I have no idea where this bias came from.

I rarely care about the cheesiness of respect considering nobody that's comfortable to be around will be polite all the time.
I just know who my friends are and their my age.
I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

It depends. I respect the 14 year old a tiny tiny tiny bit more by default, but if he slacks around, eats pizza and watches TV while the 13 year old is out there p0wning chess grandmasters(I believe Bobby Fischer did this) I'll respect the 13 year old a whole lot more.

Weird. Kinda the same for me. But what i meant was that I ACT like i respect them. Most of the time I don't really.

Age is not proportional to respect, although the people older than me I would usually respect several times more than I would respect younger people, if I had any respect for any person as an individual at all.
