Re: sewing!

I do! I started off sewing so I can fix tears in clothes, I ended up moving on to sewing stuffed dolls later on. ^^

I do have a pattern I use for my plushies, but generally it's a flat plushie and can't do things like sit or stand. I recommend the pattern by Baby London Star better (only because it looks more professional and those plushies have the ability to sit or stand), here's the link to both the pattern and tutorial: http://members.shaw.ca/plushie/ufoplush/

A fabric store is probably your best bet if you're looking for a good durable material (I wouldn't recommend using felt because it isn't durable and it gets dirty easily and can't be cleaned). Unless it's a huge plushie, you don't need that might cloth; some fabric stores have a scrap area where you can get scrap cloths for cheap (bargain tip ;D).

Nope, I've never even heard of Jo-Ann's Fabric and Craft stores (I had to Google it up to figure out what it was); we have Michael's Arts and Crafts store, though, and some fabric and craft stores of the mom-and-pop variety. ^^

My friend sews, and she makes clothes.
Only thing I can do is finger knit  hmm

(offtopic) I love your new signature! I just watched about 10 or 11 episodes of MLP:FSM, and I loved it! I couldn't stop watching after the first episode I saw (/offtopic)

Re: sewing!

I sew for fun, but right now, I'm busy working on a Curiosity Core made of styrofoam and paper.

Oh, the glory of it all - adorable cat people dressed as video game characters!
