I'm afraid of bloody and gory stuff.
I don't know how blood and gore can can be 'funny'.
It has blood! It must be funny!
[/sarcasm]
It seems this way with swears and toilet humor.

Im sorry, but that show and anyone who thinks it's funny is sick and wrong. ooooh god this show.
I cringe sometimes, because there's some nasty stuff in there.
Not blood-curdling, but disgusting.
It's one of those kids' shows that turn all gorey and nasty.

Well, I meant pretend kid shows. That are meant to turn all nasty and stuff. At first, it looks like a kid's show, then it gets nasty.
Gosh, you think everything is for kids now... -_-
Do you see today's 'kids' shows?

yeah... but doesnt the name sound like it?

The whole point of the show is to be cute and over-the-top gory at the same time. I think it's the visual irony and ludicrousness that make people like it, but obviously stay away from it if you're sensitive to animated blood and gore.

I know. Today's kids shows are pretty nasty, but Happy Tree Friends is worse because it's not meant for kids AT ALL.

yeah... but doesnt the name sound like it?
So...???
Just because it has a child-like title, it doesn't mean it's for children, like Family Guy. Is it meant for the family? No, not really.

Happy Tree Friends is basically deliberately ironic by combining cutesy cartoony elements with violent, twisted and otherwise gory situations. It's obviously not aimed at kids, and some people seem to like it for the dark humor. Personally, I've never watched it.

To get the idea, just Google Image Search "Happy Tree Friends"... ew.
EDIT: Wikipedia'd it.
"...They can be seen on the French, Dutch, Portuguese, German, Polish, Swedish, Filipino, Brazilian, Lithuanian, Japanese, Italian, Israeli, Indonesian, British, Australian, Mexican, Greek, and the Spanish TV channels, the Greek Mad Music Channel, channel C4 in New Zealand, the Russian 2×2 channel (though it was pulled from the station following a warning from a government group),[4] the Canadian television channel Razer, the American television channel G4, the Czech musical channel Óčko, and on the Australian Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) network..."
Wow.

dude I've never seen it. Take that back: once on one of my weird friends phone we watched the beggining of it but she had to turn it off and get off the bus before it got gory. The next day I asked my other friend what happytreehousefriends was and she said when she was little, her older brother was watching it and she had nightmares of chainsawing bunnies killing her for a long time.....

From what I've heard, it's some hyperviolent show on the Internet. I've watched Madness Combat and Castle and stuff like that, but I'm too afraid to watch HTF.
me too

Episode:Iced Lemonade
Iced Lemonade?
EYES LEMONADE
'Nuff said.
It's not all that different from Bunnykill. Mortal Kombat isn't even violent. Madness Combat comes close. Castle is just a shooting match. No, I can only think of one thing more violent. The Crucifix Killer. It's a book. Ugh. Just thinking about that poor girl-but I won't spoil it for you.

Every episode, all of the main cast dies (except for this one crazy war veteran bear) with a different main cast every episode. They are brought back to life though. Sometimes they don't die, they're just maimed. Other times the characters accidentally do the killings by being oblivious and not even knowing about it in the end, like the blind bear. The moose sometimes survives at the end.

I guess... it's not meant to be scary or creepy, it's meant to be funny, and it is to some people. That's their target audience.
