This is a thread for discussing Double Standards. An example of one is that a woman can cry, and it's fine, but a man crying means he's a sissy.
Any other Double Standards you've seen?

When somebody tells a joke it's cool.
When I tell the SAME joke it's lame.

It's how you tell it.
And you shouldn't repeat it around the same people you heard it from even if someone new shows up you tell it to.

I've heard that one guy did a test: He posted two threads on a forum, both promoting sexism. One was against women, the other against men. The former got a reply saying "No. Just...no." The latter got favorited.

How is that a Double Standard?
And this is a discussion.
Another: It's okay for a woman to hit a man, but a man can never hit back.

How about all manners are aimed at helping women?
They insist that in this century they can be tough fighters and do something in the world then they go, "you didn't open the door for me!" *rageface*

This is one of the most annoying things... It almost seems that in our struggle to give women equal rights we have given them too much and we are at a loss, not intended to offend.

I know right?
And my brother calls me a sexist idiot when I mention it.

Or anybody who claims to be a feminist, then asserts female superiority. I've heard this is rare, but it's still hypocritical. And some people don't take kindly to stuff like that.

Girls can like "boyish" things.
However, boys can't like "girly" things.

I think Princess and the Frog is a better choice than the Squeakquel.
I think I got teased...

The irony is, the Princess and the Frog focuses on the Princess AND the Frog. The Squeakquel focuses on the 3 girl chipmunks.
You should mention that.
Also, I hate it when sexism is practiced. Against men. If you're rambling on about how much you're unfairly treated and that the 2 genders are equal, then why should a man hold open the door, or pay the bill?
But I think the most hilarious is this. For some reason, boys are called sissies if they read Twilight. But here's the catch:they're not if they read Breaking Dawn. I eventually found out it was because of the mature scenes.
What's so hilarious, you ask? The mature scenes got censored! Okay, so maybe they like censored scenes. You still can't see any bad? Here's the punchline:anyone who reads an uncensored book is called "dirty-minded"!
Oops, looks like I just entangled you in the school politics web.

Uh, why would it be different then?

I just saw a website that claims men are all brutish, messed up jerks.
If I were to say that about women, the internet would murder me.

'Cause [removed] is manly.

Wait...
Idiots aren't good at logic. That requires logic to figure out. Just explain it to him rationally.

Uh... so many ways I could say no, but I'm not going to. Let's drop this conversation.

On the internet, Misanthropy is a great evil, but Misandry is cool.

It's simple. Hand them two links:one to this thread and one to the anti-man website. If they still insist on murdering you, then according to Rule #20397 paragraph 6 exception D, under the Laws of Dealing with Illogical Idiots On the Internet, you have the right to troll them.

When my OldMcPalpatine can't find his Python file because he doesn't know where he installed it to. When he can't, I get annoyed and look for the file. When someone else can't, I punch them in the face XD.
