The Legend:
The story tells of a great kingdom long ago, ruled by wise kings who kept their people happy and in peace. The sun never set in those lands, and in the cities were fountains made of pure gold. The inhabitants never knew illness or disaster, for the kingdom was protected by six magic orbs - the Orbs of Fire, Water, Air, Earth, Light, and, last of all, Darkness. Bound together, they created harmony and were kept under great secret for thousands of years, for if ever their bonds were to be broken, a great tragedy would come.
As the centuries passed, the people of the great of the great kingdom grew careless and greedy and sought wealth, until one day, believing that the Orb of Dark was what kept them from gaining endless pleasure, they cast it away. And then, there was great disaster and ruin throughout the land, and the bonds being broken, the six orbs were scattered and lost.
And on the next day, a wild and barbaric race came down and drove the people to the far east, and took their lands. Many died that day, but those who survived began the reconstruction of their kingdom in the unknown eastern lands, hoping one day to reclaim the lands that were rightfully theirs.
You are one of the lucky citizens of the great kingdom who managed to survive the catastrophe. As there was a flood, all that is left of the land is a vast ocean with small islands scattered across it.
In this RPG, you are the ruler of one or a few islands. You can be good or evil, what ever you want. The Ranxardians - the barbaric race that now rules your homeland - are quite aggressive and will attack from the west once in a while.
Oh, and the world is flat. If you want to you can go and fall over the edge. We'd be interested to know what it's like. :D
