Updated grass background and drastically changed Fi's scripts. See project notes for more info.

Good idea.  We have branched out into three projects, so I will put them all together later today.  Silvershine, did you change anything besides Fi's scripts in your version? Or can I use the framework editions as the base and import the grass sprite as well as Fi's new scripts?

That is the only thing I changed. Just be sure to make sure that everything works after the import!

I'll submit it tomorrow morning; I'm replacing the x position of +/- x with theoutput number, since it is always the same.

Could you get a picture of Leo unconscious laying on grass? We will need it for the opening scene.

Re: Collab project: Butterfly Tree

The newest version of the project can be found here: Butterfly Tree [Grass #3] [Fi Script Overhaul]

And can we please please please change the Leo sprite!!!!! I like the old one better!

@gerbils, It should be the same birds eye view, and use the info sytem (from above link) to show talking and such.  If you need help I will help you.

Great! I will update the link on the front page.

@gerbils:
LiquidMetal is right, it's just that when Leo is unconscious in the beginning, he should be laying face up.

Re: Collab project: Butterfly Tree

You might as well make a script from the latest project to start it; it will not be that hard to implement any graphics changes.  Or you can wait till I convince silvershine to change the Leo sprite...

Silvershine; the programming to do list is down to 2 things again.  Can you replace the framework thing with individual areas where the framework needs work?

tongue  Nope, we were busy all day yesterday so I just got on. What is the purpose of the InfoQueue list? I updated your version with some motion for Fi. See project notes for more details.

@gerbils800:
How is the animation going? Could you post what you have so far of the opening animation?

@Everyone:
Delete outdated online versions of Butterfly Tree please! The more versions we have, the easier it will be for someone to accidently find them.

Ah, sorry! I forgot to do that! I'm on my iPad right now, and the whole thing gets messed up when I try to edit the main page.  hmm

Here is some other things you can work on that I will add to the main page soon:

*finalize fi motion
*complete framework. See the storyline script (written document, not a scratch script) for what to add in

I'll add more soon!

Re: Collab project: Butterfly Tree

I'm back from my vacation! But I have a 2 week long summer camp starting tomorrow, so I will only be home at night to work on stuff.

I am working on a HUGE update to the framework and animation, so please don't make any new versions until then!

Feeling really jet-lagged, so I should probably go sleep now...  tongue

Re: Collab project: Butterfly Tree

By the way; I finalized Fi motion, just haven't submitted it because the computer it is crashes often.  I will be able to get it soon.  When I get that, I will merge gerbils animation into it, together with a bug fix (trees there don't show during the animation). And if I have time, I'll put the chat part of it into the info system, and fix the timing.  Do we want a picture of Fi's and Leo's faces for use while they are "talking" in the info system?  Or just %whoeverstalking%: %whateverwhoeveristalkingsays%?
I think we should get the pictures of faces, but I don't plan on drawing them, And I have not heard from MKR in a while.
