180 second rule

Okay the 180 seconds between each post rule is kinda annoying. Could we bring it down to 60 seconds? Because I post something, and then I find something I could answer or comment on something (in forums) but then I have to wait 180 seconds to post. So if there is a special reason for this please tell me or if not, Scratch team can you update the site so there is a 60 second rule between each post or no second rule at all?

Re: 180 second rule

You probably know this by now, but there's two different "ranks" on the forums: "New Scratcher" and "Scratcher". New Scratchers have to wait 180 seconds between posts, while Scratchers only have to wait 60 seconds. The New Scratcher rule is relatively new, it was only introduced last year because some people were launching spam attacks against the forums.

I can see how 180 seconds would get on anybody's nerves. But you've been on for a while, so if you keep posting often, you should become a Scratcher within the next week (two at the very most). Don't give up now!

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: 180 second rule

It used to be 1000 seconds, then 600, then 360, and now 180, so you should feel a bit grateful xD

But anyway, stay active on Scratch and you'll become a Scratcher in no time  smile

Wow!

Anyways... all of us Scratchers have to put up with 60 sec and 180 isn't too bad (honestly!)

Yep, I saw when it changed (from my test account).
