Social Network

Hello everyone,
I was thinking that Scratch should add a page on their website that may look a little like Facebook with a News Feed
For example there could be post like this

Uglypear
Hey everyone check out my new project it's called ————

Also with this you can see all your friends posts that may advertise their projects and see them post news about announcements and you can comment on them

Another example would be like...

Uglypear
Hey everyone your all probably wondering when my next project will come out but don't worry it will be soon and also will be huge!

Let me know what you think in the comments

Re: Social Network

I don't think this would work, because
1) Scratch isn't a social networking site
2) I can 99.9% guarantee that it'll simply be used as a more kid-friendly Facebook, thus losing the point of being Scratch related.

I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.

Re: Social Network

I agree with hmnwilson, if Scratch is turned into a kid friendly version of Facebook, it kinda destroys the purpose of what Scratch was originally designed for.

RANDOM THOUGHT: If the tomato is a fruit, doesn't that make ketchup a smoothie?

Maybe the ST could check over the posts before allowing them.

How in the world is it you say everything in such a perfect way that I don't bother posting -_- It's happened like a dozen times now xD

I fall: It's a tragedy. You fall: It's comedy.
Hmph enjoy your fall - I get a lovely spring... without pans of new leaves.

Re: Social Network

Scratch is just a program. We dont need a social website  hmm . I dont know any programs that hace a social website. Scratch isn't really for being social.... Its really just for making projects and sharing it.
