Game Levels

Would it be possible to create a scratch card describing how to build game levels.   I've tried but haven't gotten it to work yet.

Re: Game Levels

Hi Marten, that's a great suggestion for a Scratch card. I would recommend you take a look at Jay's Jet Pack Girl project: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/jay/133 If you download the code you'll see how he does a multi-level game. I hope it helps.

Let us know if you think that's a good example of a multilevel game and we would try to create a card based on it.

Happy Scratch-ing!

Re: Game Levels

Also, I'll be putting example programs that I do in this gallery:

Grumpy Wizard uses a different sort of leveling, where the board itself doesn't change but the difficulty level increases as you score points.  Basically, I'm storing the speed of the enemies in a variable that changes on mod 10 (so every 10 points, you up a level).

Check it out here: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/rszrama/3338

Re: Game Levels

Yeah would it be possible for you guys to make a Scratch Card on how to create a Project with a series of Mini Games. Aka have 10 games made and it will play them in random order and if you fail a game it tells you how much games you passed giving you a points score?
