I am on summer break and have tons of spare time on my hands, so I'm starting a collab! This will be a math platformer based on pre-algebraic concepts. If you hate math, there still will be a job for you! This will be on Clutter, so it must work on Java. There will be many posts in this thread for information.
Here is our official GALLERY! Post, chat, and collab on this gallery.
http://scratch.mit.edu/galleries/view/129264
I will invite all collab members to the Clutter. It's saved, but not shared.

Game basics:
Storyline (will change as users come up with ideas):
Once upon a time, the main character's father ruled Epic Math World. Under his leadership, Epic Math World was the happiest place on the planet. The main enemy has defeated the main character's father in an Epic Math battle and proved his math skills. He then took over Epic Math World and made it a horrible place to live. Right after that, the main character was born. Twenty years later, the main character must defeat the main enemy and restore Epic Math World to the heaven it was when his father ruled.
Levels and Content:
Each level will consist of a cutscene (the first one will be rather lengthy) following the story of the game and the purpose of the level, a tutorial on how to do the math involved in the level, the actual level, and a boss battle. If a player loses the actual level, they must try it again until they defeat the level. If a player loses the boss battle, the enemy has taken over Epic Math World and they lose the game. There will also be a cutscene for the winning and losing scenario. Based on this, we will need a link Clutter.
Level 1 will focus on integers, Level 2 will focus on order of operations, Level 3 will focus on one-and-two step equations, Level 4 will focus on finding and estimating square roots, and Level 5 will focus on finding slope given two points.
The link word will be the answer to a randomly chosen problem whose answer is the link word.

Rules and Responsibilities for EVERY participant:
Rules:
1. Follow the Scratch rules. This rule is THE most important. If we didn't have this rule, the rules will be WAAYY too lengthy. So please, follow the Scratch rules. If you don't, consequences will occur.
2. Log on as often as possible. If you can't log on often, choose a less demanding role. If you have more time on your hands, you may choose a more demanding role. If nobody logged on, the collab wouldn't work!
3. Do all of your role work ON TIME. If you can't finish on time due to vacation or other circumstances, please let me or the Vice Manager know so we can find someone to fill in your position for that time period. If everyone was late, the collab would be virtually impossible.
4. Have fun!
Suggestions:
1. Choose a role that's right for you. If you hate math or don't know pre-algebra that well, don't program the game or do the math tutorials. Maybe graphic design, advertising or sound effects would be better for you. If you don't have enough time to be in a collab, be an understudy or an advertiser!
2. Invite your friends to join this collab if you want! The more people, the better! If you know or have on your friends list someone who loves math, games, or cutscenes, invite them to join!
3. Don't fret if this doesn't make you famous! Think about a lot of famous Scratchers. They didn't become famous instantly! They had to work very hard and find others' interests to become famous!
Offline
Roles:
Everyone may choose one large role or up to three smaller ones. Testers and subs can be a fourth small role or be added on to a large role due to the need for testers and subs and the low time and effort needed to test and substitute.
Leaders:
Manager: LolCat72
The manager is the largest and most important role. The manager makes sure the collab is going fine and may fill in any roles. They will also report any inappropriate or rude activity.
Vice Manager: Open
The Vice Manager is very large as well. The vice manager assists the manager in their job. If the manager is on vacation or cannot log on, the vice manager may fill the manager's role.
Advertisements and Subs:
Advertisers: 2 open
Advertisers advertise the collab in the forums and via projects and galleries. They have to be very careful not to overadvertise or they will be spamming. They can also request this collab to be a subject in a Scratch magazine, while not trying too hard or people will think they are annoying.
Subs: 5 open
Do you want to be in a collab, but don't want all that work? Well, being a sub is right for you. When a collab member cannot log on for a certain period of time, they comment on the collab gallery requesting a sub. The sub fills in their role for a certain period of time.
Cutscenes:
Graphic designer: 1 open
The graphic designer designs and animates the graphics.
Storytellers: 2 open
The storytellers write the plot and script of the cutscenes.
Programmers: 2 open
The programmers program the cutscene.
Voices: 2 open
The voices say the character's lines. A microphone is required.
Tutorials:
Graphic designer: 1 open
The graphic designer designs and animates the graphics.
Storytellers: 2 open
The storytellers write the plot and script of the tutorials. They also need to be able to explain math well.
Programmers: 2 open
The programmers program the tutorial.
Voices: 2 open
The voices say the character's lines. A microphone is required.
Levels:
Level designer: 4 open, one for each level *SMALL ROLE
The level designers design the levels
Graphic designer: 1 open, gerbils800
The graphic designers design graphics and animate them.
Programmers: 2 open
The programmers program the levels. They will be based on my Jet Pack Girl Math Edition, but with graphic changes, level changes, and programming changes.

I've never tried advertising...but I could try it.
I could be a sub too. Maybe for graphics? Or maybe not a sub, but there's some things I have trouble doing.

Let me see your graphics! Your first task is to redesign the main character of any one of my Jet Pack Girl Math Edition games. You can make the main character any theme, just do not use sprites from the internet. Due ASAP

It should be a king, maybe an evil male ruler of some sort.

Make it a bit more... evil. Maybe give it.... A STAFF OF DOOM!!!!! And maybe put some amethyst or onyx on his clothes and crown to make it look evil? Or a glowing garnet on the top of his crown? And maybe change the color of his clothes to be darker.
