My email is being spammed with inappropriate messages! Apparently someone hacked waveOSbeta's email and is using it to send messages to all Scratchers.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Has the Scratch team been notified? And what should I do about it (besides deleting the messages, obviously)?

This is a very common problem. They're spoofing the email. Even the Scratch Team was spoofed a while ago.

Yes, the Scratch Team has been notified (see andresmh's sticky).

Most e-mail systems allow you to flag messages as spam to improve the spam, so do that. Also, it seems that whoever is spoofing e-mails are taking advantages of areas where e-mails are exposed (for example, you know when Scratchers created their own forums? Some of these forums have e-mail services which can be easily used to send spam), you'll probably want to find a way to hide/remove your e-mail if it's exposed somewhere where trolls can see it.
