Possesive cat problem..

OK, so I have this really mellow cat. She never hisses or scratchs or anything. Over the weekend, I went camping, and I brought my suitcase in place of my black backpack, because I lent it to my little brother, and when we got back, I put it in the middle of the rug. I know, bad place, but I was really tired, and somebody else scooched it to the side.
Anyway, my cat decided it would be a good place to lay down ON TOP of my suitcase. So, like 4 days later, I went to go get something out of the suitcase. Lip gloss, I think, or a shirt or maybe even a pack of gum. I thought I could just pick up Dottie (that's my cat) and move her off of the suitcase, then get what I needed and she could get back on or go where ever cats dissapear off to when they're mad.
But NO. When I tried to pick her up, she acually HISSED AT ME. So I put her down, and she bit my leg, so I yelled at her, and my mom said she thought the suitcase was her bed, and she was possessive of it. So I made my brother hold her so I could get what I needed.

To-do list:
1.Get suitcase back from cat
2.Find Nintendo
3.Get the evil cat something else to lay on
4.Remember to wear sneakers before nudging Dottie with foot
5.If all else fails, repeat number 1....

8/ CATS HAVE REALLY SHARP TEETH!! And Dottie's not really all that big...

Re: Possesive cat problem..

Put his/her food in a closet, when he/she goes to eat, close the cupboard and hide the suitcase...then, buy him/her a cat bed...

Well if you wanted honesty, that's all you had to say. I never want to let you down or have you go, it's better off this way.
