recording sounds

How do I get a scratch file and copy off sounds from another game (Not made by scratch) for soundtracks in my game. It's a secret what game i'm making but if you browse the web often and go to addicting games alot, you'll probably recognize it.
Thanks.

Re: recording sounds

If you want sounds from another game, you probably need to use something like Audacity.

Re: recording sounds

If you have a microphone, you can try recording songs off YouTube with it. However, the quality results can be mixed. I've been able to get somewhat decent sound, but other people get sound that's filled with static and unrecognizable.

Give it a try if you want, but if it doesn't work, you'll have to use a sound program like the above-mentioned Audacity.
