So I have this idea, which is featured in quite a lot of forums, and I've noticed there is a few old posts with this.
Bascially, you have a rule where if a post is a certain age it will be closed, so it can be viewed but not posted on, this would stop people dragging up topics from last year, just to make a spelling correction (or other reasons ). I also think that if moderators think it is suitable then they should close more posts, as this would help the problem also.
Edit: just realised this already exists (at least I think so), but I think it should be a lot stronger (so it takes less time for it to be closed)
Thanks for listening!

I think it's fine like it is.
The only addition I would make is a line of text in red bold saying:
This thread is X months old. Please do not post unless you have a valuable contribution to make, which you think is still relevant.

Bringing up old threads can be for a good reason when you wish to ask a related question. I think it's fine as it is and I think this thread should really go in 'suggestions'

Threads certain ages are closed in certain forums, look at the Wiki articles on each forum. Or you could look at this topic.
