Ways to save money?

I don't really need money right now, but just so that I always have some I put 3 of my 8 dollars a week in a savings wallet that I don't use.

How do you save money?
Or do you spend it all?

I'm glad to think that the community will always be kind and helpful, the language will always be a fun and easy way to be introduced into programming, the motto will always be: Imagine, Program, Share - Nomolos

I don't spend my money, so i got a really nice amount saved up  smile  I'm planning to buy a car when i hit 16.

High interest bank accounts are good. If your parents let you, shares can be a good way too. (Not at the moment though if your in it for the short run.)

Go to the bank and hand over a note demanding that they let you deposit $3 a week.

Find someone post count. Click posts under username. Find number of pages. Times that by 40 for min and 60 for max and you have a rough estimate of post count.

Oh yeah, 'cause it really helps that the Fed has killed the interest rate. The best rate you can get for a 5-year CD is around 2%. I got around 5% five years ago.

...and interest for a savings account is terribly low.

I just save my allowance whenever I get it, keeping only a small part on my wallet for spending... I have very little saved now though, since this year I bought an electroacoustic guitar (which I want to sell now but my mom doesn't want me to :c ) and a fuzz effect for my bass.  tongue

I just  do some paid jobs and don't spend anything. For example, I haven't bought... anything this year, I think. I'm not the sort of person that buys everything he sees.

I rarely buy things, and when I do, it's usually something more expensive, so I tend to save my money. I'm saving up for a graphics card and new power supply right now, actually.  big_smile

I have a money box thingy that some minor shops use and store it in there. I don't spend money that much, so I have a lot of money to keep.
