Actually (don't quote me on this, I only heard this from a friend) Nyan was a misspelling of Nya, the Japanese word for Meow.

Again, I only heard that from a friend.

See, the basic idea is like any other meme out there. There is a provided fish face, which is drawn by me, and you put "fishface" on the top of the pic and put what he's doing in the bottom.

For example, "Fishface...is watching you sleep."
Or "Fishface...is spamming ur wallz."
Or "Fishface...is hacking ur account."
Or maybe "Fishface...will ruin this thread."

The idea and basis of the whole thing is pretty much simple. Just state something silly that one might be doing and make Fishface do it.    I'll show you examples later.

I like the idea. before i read this post, I had something very simular idea, but with a picture of James P. Sullivan in the backround.

Sully is terrorizing your family
Sully stole your dog
Sully barfed on your grandmother...

Memes start randomly.
