They are both housepets and therefore people will have varying opinions on them.

This is not a fact. It can easily be proven that you are wrong. I don't think everyone must love dogs. At this point, you're just being annoying by flat-out refusing to believe there's some truth to what other people say, too, just because they like dogs more than cats. I like dogs. You like cats. Whatever.

The "fact" that all pitbulls are evil is a stereotype. Some may be, but the whole breed isn't a bad breed. Cats also scratch and bite, but this is my opinion.

You just don't know the right dogs. I have a sheltie who was a stray, and she acts like a lap dog. If you invite her up on the couch, she'll lean against you so that you can hug her. You're saying you wouldn't like a dog like that? (unless you're allergic, in which case you have every reason not to).
Pretty much every cat I've met will let me pet his/her head for a minute, then either start purring or randomly swat at me with claws extended. I don't pet cats for that reason 
I'm taking a break from Scratch until 2.0 comes out. Any messages sent between then and now probably won't be read - sorry.
