Delete a Sprite

With this ability, you could remove a sprite you no longer use. I know I have dozens of unused sprites that have I exported, and you probably do too. This would be EXTEMELY beneficial to everyone, spriters, game makers, animation makers, and other project creators. Once you export a sprite, you can't delete it. With this ability, you would be able to delete an unused sprite.

Heres the link to the Scratch Suggestions. Delete a Sprite

Re: Delete a Sprite

When you export a sprite, it's saved to your hard drive.

There is simple no need for this.

Just go to your scratch folder>media>[wherever you save your exported sprite] and drag the unwanted sprites to your recycle bin/trash.

Re: Delete a Sprite

But that's the problem, when I do that, I only have access to the sprites Scratch provides me with. It might just be my computer.

Re: Delete a Sprite

You should double-check where you saved your exported sprites. They're there; you just have to find them. If you need to, try running a search for the file name of one.

Re: Delete a Sprite

I still can't get the file. I can only delete Scratch projects and the sprites, sounds, ect, that come with Scratch

Re: Delete a Sprite

Have you got Windows 7?

This is, as much as I could understand, that you do not have permissions to edit/delete things in the Scratch directory. Try to delete a sprite from your desktop and see what happens.

I can't access it through the Scratch directory... and I can't access it from my desktop as far as I know. I don't have Windows 7, I have a Windows Vista.

Re: Delete a Sprite

well, i guess vista uses the same security things. i goggled the problem, and it probably happens because of virtualization:http://www.windowsecurity.com/articles/ … Part1.html. If you can't even SEE the sprites which are saved, this is probably the case.
