That's not the IP address, that's just the main location. We need the IP address.
It doesn't say the IP.
It should. Did you check the link I posted earlier on here?

Heh, I'm only even on this threads to be able to say "I was there" after.
Let's just do what we did in the 10' troll attack- hang on this thread trying to get people to calm down while letting it pass by.

No, I copied and pasted it into Microsoft Word. It is indeed the Scratch Team.
But that's nothing to worry about. They're at MIT! They can fix this! Just wait. Don't panic anymore.

SOMELIA.
Listen to Cheddergirl, she's giving you advice. Stop freaking out about something that's not going to brutally effect your life and listen to her. Nothing's happened and you're acting like Kazakhstan deployed war heads on your city!

If the Hacker was trolling us, s/he'd want us to be panicking. Staying calm thwarts it.

Pasting it into Word proves it's the ST how?
Anyway, that's what I've been telling you somelia. Staying calm thwarts it.
Stay calm. Just CHILL.

What happened? There are no hackers.
Yes there are... I have several emails from my friends asking why they sent me so many emails full of spam... Or worse. Also I had a long lecture from my dad about impersonating people and such, which I answered at the end: What are you talking about? Also my computer is infected.

If this is what happens when a troll sends an email, what happens to you when you spill a can of soda?

People send e-mail messages in another person's name all the time (a very good example is a forum system which is capable of sending e-mails if it has e-mail capability). I think this is what we have here.
That[s why I'm insistent on finding the IP address. If it's traced to someone here on the site, then the account owners associated with that IP address are contacted.
Other time, I'm very tempted to call this some pretty elaborate hoax (especially considering no one from the Scratch Team has e-mailed me a spam message yet and the Scratch Team is aware of my e-mail address).

That is kinda wierd.
If only I were a retired mod, then there would be no 60 second rule
Anyway, what cheddar said.
From now on, ditto what cheddar said.

Definitely not the Scratch Team, because that's not the correct IP. Finally, there's something we can work with.

I'm mostly receiving emails from waveOSBeta.

The scratch team has confirmed that it was not DaGamez.

Then we should be worring about wave, not the Scratch Team that wasn't hacked?

How is quitting and forgetting Scratch going to get this (ahem) "hacker" out? I don't think it's going to make a difference to the outcome, one way or another.
So you're better off just staying until more info is given.

This isn't good. But you're right - that happened to my email last year. No one hacked it - they just sent it from my email's name.
So weird though. Who would do this and why?

Who knows?
Commercial spammers do something similar - I get e-mail messages from friends but it's all commercial spam sent without my friend's knowledge; basically, if you have the e-mail address of a person, there's always the possibility of someone using it to sends spam of some sort, no real hacking required.
I think this is what happened here. If it was a serious hacker, I'm surprised they didn't send e-mails en masse.

Huh. A Forums Esclusive hacker impersonator- and he actually got us (for the most part). Hilarious.
